Housing Crisis: The Crisis in My House

I’m going to see if I can do this fast.

With some Martha Points flair. Or, as we normally call it, cheating.

We bought a house.

We bought a house and rented our condo.

We bought a house and rented our condo but then our closing date got pushed back.

We bought a house and rented our condo but then our closing date got pushed back yet our renters couldn’t change their move-in date.

(Can you believe it took me until here before I realized I could copy and paste the last sentence I’d written?)

Dear Lord, Lori, this is hard. I’m not normally a quitter but this week I’m granting myself permission to quit. Because I’m good enough, I’m strong enough and doggone it I’m going to do it no matter what so I may as well justify it somehow. I also have permission to eat McDonald’s. Just FYI.

So anyway, we have it mostly figured out. However, I’m living in a shifting house of cards.

Please be careful not to sneeze when you visit me for the next few weeks or you will knock it all down.

And I will know which of you it was.
